- Participation in Alpha National Programs and Special Projects
- Collaboration in the planning and implementation of Alpha functions(i.e. Founder’s Day events, Black and Gold Balls, MLK Breakfast and church services, etc.
- Recognition of progress and service to and from chapters (i.e. plaques, certificates, sponsorship of events, scholarships, etc.)
- Chapter registration at past conferences and conventions for chapters involved
Brother accomplishments:
- Past and current Committee Chair for the MLK Celebration Committee (Ad Hoc)
- Committee member on the following committees: Project Alpha, Go-To High School Go-To College, and A Voteless People is a Hopeless people
- Committee Chair for the Sigma Pi Lambda SPLendid Gents mentorship program for middle school boys
- Established an Adopt a Highway roadside project in conjunction with the Fl. Department of Transportation, where we maintain approximately 4 miles of roadside in Clay County, Fl
- Created a chapter lapel pin
- Nominated as the Chapters Historian
Brother bio:
Bro. Wesley is a native of Jacksonville, Florida where he graduated from Sandalwood
High school. Bro. Wesley attended Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama where he earned
degrees in Biology (B.S.) and Environmental Science (M.S.).
Brother Wesley has been employed with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services for the past 17 years, where he serves as an Environmental Manager. Brother Wesley
was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc. through the Sigma Pi Lambda Chapter on
October 23, 2021. Brother Wesley currently serves as the chair of the Martin Luther King Jr.
committee.
In his free time Brother Wesley enjoys being civically engaged, serving on the Clara White
Mission Board of Directors, and volunteering his available time with the White Harvest Farm.
Additionally, Bro. Wesley is a passionate youth basketball, where he has volunteered his time
with the Police Athletic League, and youth AAU travel basketball for the past 17 years. Most of
all brother Wesley enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife of 16 years, who is
a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gamma Rho Omega Chapter.
